THREE CUPS OF TEA
While my computer was down, there was a report in the paper about the spread of the message in the book THREE CUPS OF TEA. The 2nd headline read " Military embraces author's tips on winning trust in Afghanistan". It also said that the "phrase 'three cups of tea' has entered the American troop lexicon as shorthand for any leisurely, trust-building chat with locals." It was a real attitude builder for me---hope, even. Hope you saw it---and also felt encouraged. Marian

The author was interviewed on a morning show this past Sunday. His book is now required reading for most military upper eschelon over troops in Afghanistan. I haven't read the book, but I do know the story and yes, what a message of hope and what a difference he has made!
